The 33rd Annual Academy Awards ceremony was held on April 17, 1961 at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.
Photograph caption dated April 18, 1961 reads, "Music awards - Sandra Dee and Bobby Darin, second from right, presented the academy's music awards. Ernest Gold, right, received the best music score award for 'Exodus' and Harry Sukman accepted the best scoring of a musical picture Oscar for his and Morris Stoloff's 'Song Without End.' Gold is the conductor of the newly formed Valley Philharmonic Orchestra which is slated for a late June debut."
