Description
Photograph of a covered bridge in Knight's Ferry, ca.1930. The white structure that shadows the bridge below is slightly out of focus. The bridge leads to a small opening at the structure's end and is lined by a wooden fence on either side. The view of the bridge to the left side overlooks several homes as well as many trees. Photo file card reads "Covered bridge built in 1882 over Stanilaus river -- at the side of the ferry which was begun by William Knight in 1849. This was the road from Stockton to the gold country".
