Title supplied by cataloger. Photograph caption dated September 17, 1964 reads, "Clowning around--Danny cooked Chinese dinner for press party at Johnny Kan's Restaurant in San Francisco's Chinatown. The labor of love completed, he places his chef's cap on Harvey Korman's head, as Korman's blond wife looks on approvingly. Korman is featured regularly on Kaye's show." During the trip of previewing his new show, Danny Kaye helped prepare a 12-course Cantonese dinner at the Kan's restaurant. One of five images featured in the news article, documenting an unique preview for the new season of The Danny Kaye Show on CBS. Kaye and the CBS Television Network played host to over 100 celebrities and press members on an American Airlines Astrojet from Los Angeles to San Francisco. The event started at 5:45 p.m. and ended at 1 a.m. with constant activities, including a cocktail party at the Admirals Club Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport, the flight to San Francisco, the screening of the first new show in flight, a bus trip to San Francisco Chinatown, a period for bands, traditional dragon dances, a parade and autographs, another cocktail party, a 12-course dinner, and the return to airport and flight back to Los Angeles. The first show of the new season of The Danny Kaye Show was broadcast on September 23, 1964 with guest stars Gwen Verdon and the Rhythm Masters.
