Description
Image of a three-quarter-length portrait of the character of Dr. Briggs, an older angry man, holding a cane and a crumpled newspaper; the poster advertises the comedy "All the Rage" by William D. Eaton and has printed show information for a March 31, [1882], performance at the Worcester Theatre at top center.
Probable date based on general printer and play history; the play was first performed in 1880 and Strobridge & Co. became Strobridge Lithographing Co. in 1881. "Worcester Theatre / Friday, March 31st"--text, top margin centered. "Matt Morgan"--text, artist's signature in stone, lower left. "Strobridge & Co. Lith. Cin. O."--text, bottom margin centered.
