Description
Negative shows a group of women posing on a beach. One of them holds a ball in her hands. They are possibly at Asilomar, in Pacific Grove, California.
Asilomar was built to be a permanent conference site for the national YWCA association. It was designed by Julia Morgan who was hired by Phoebe Apperson Hearst. From Fran Smith, "Breaking Ground:The Daring Women of the YWCA in the Santa Clara Valley, 1905-2005," (2005), p. 20.
