Photograph caption dated May 24, 1956 reads, "Seat of government - San Fernando's $160,000 city hall, dedicated short time ago, illustrates progressive spirit that has enveloped its civic leaders. Money for its construction was obtained by selling city's old sewer farm and old city hall.
