Photograph caption dated July 7, 1962 reads, "She's Denille Jackson, 14, Northridge, right, shown with Miss Northridge, Karen Nelson, 17, also of Northridge. They'll be reigning today and Sunday over the 13th annual Northridge Stampede at a circus tent at Reseda Blvd. and Plummer St. A two-hour circus performance is set for 7 p.m. today and Sunday, and a free Skipper Frank show will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday."
