This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
Text written under photo: "Calvary Presbyterian Church Fillmore & Jackson 1910." This church is at the northwest corner. It is a two-story stone structure with arched windows and a three-arch entrance; box on sidewalk, along with a telephone pole and a trolley line pole. A woman is standing off the curb looking onto the cobblestone street, on which the tracks of the United Railroads #22 Fillmore Street line can be seen. This church replaced the one on Powell Street which was torn down to make way for the St. Francis Hotel.
