Description
Leslie Silbert discusses her novel, “The Intelligencer.” She begins by explaining the life of Christopher Marlowe, a theater actor and spy who lived in the late 16th century. She says that her book is about old manuscripts that must be deciphered by her main character. Silbert discusses how she studied the history of science at Harvard and wanted to write a historical fiction novel. She talks about how she transitioned her book from the present day to the 1590s. She ends the interview by describing how she works as a private investigator in her free time.
