Photograph caption dated September 1, 1984 reads, "Pilot Dan E. Phillips, 34, of Oxnard, tangled with several cars parked near a restaurant after plowing through a fence when he overshot the runway of Huntington Beach's Meadowlark Airport. He was treated for minor cuts at a hospital." The plane was a Beechcraft Sundowner.
