Tommie R. Fasenmyer, 21, who confessed to the robbery of Mrs. Edna Letts McNaghten, a department store heiress, of $155,000 in jewelry, showed police how he concealed a 3-carat $4000 diamond in his throat for three days after the officers searched him. The bulk of the stolen goods was recovered in the glove department of Fasenmyer's car in San Diego where he and his bride, Virginia, were arrested and booked for grand theft.
