Description
Scope/Content: Women of the International Hotel Collective at the collective's office in the hotel. From left to right, Judy Kagiwara, Liz Del Sol, and Beverly Nagai. Behind them are various posters from different Third World struggles including the Kalama Valley land struggle in Hawaii, Ho Chi Minh's "Wheel of the law turns without a pause," a poster demanding freedom for the Soledad Brothers, and a poster featuring a quote from Mao Zedong that reads "In times of difficulty we must not lose sight of our achievements, must see the bright future and must pluck up our courage." The quote is from a popular article by Mao titled "Serve the People" which became a slogan of the Asian American movement.
