Description
Photograph of a group of women from the Native Daughters of the Golden West participating in the 1907 Admissions Day parade in San Jose. A few women are on horseback but most are riding in carriages. They are stopped on South Market Street near the intersection of Post Street. The woman sitting in the first carriage peering over the shoulder of the man with the cigar is Tillie Brohaska, member of the musical Brohaska family and a well known local pianist. She was also a charter member of the Vendome Parlor, Native Daughters of the Golden West in San Jose.
