Photograph of a paschal candlestick in yard of Mission San Diego de Alcala, California, ca.1900. The tall pole-like candlestick has a large ornately carved base. The top portion of the candlestick forms a bowl that holds a thick partially-melted candle. It stands in a garden in which a few bushes and trees are visible. A brick building is at left. A wooden building and a low mountain are visible in the background.
