Description
Image of automobiles driving on Cahuenga Pass (which later became Highway 101) in Hollywood, California, through the surrounding hills with houses and "The Berries" restaurant at center. A sign saying "Examiner" is visible on the hill at right.
"Cahuenga Pass, the gateway to Hollywood, Cal. 130"--text, on negative. Title transcribed from negative; date devised by cataloger based on style of cars in image and the history of the freeway, which was widened at the Cahuenga Pass in 1940.
