Description
Connie and Abba begin the interview discussing citizen ignorance of diplomacy in any nation, and how the Cold War Soviet Union is ultimately not the dominating, aggressive, and successful force in world affairs that the United States perceives it to be. They then proceed to talk about the United States and its long history of staying out of world affairs until recent times, and how Europe and the United States by and large perceive the Soviet Threat differently. Connie and Abba then discuss his point of view as a citizen of the world and the failure of the United Nations in world affairs before moving into a discussion of the Middle East’s problems and the uniqueness of the nuclear age. They go on to discuss government criticism as a basis of free societies before returning to topics concerning the Middle East. Connie closes the interview requesting an autograph for her copy of the book.
