Mary Pickford was a Canadian-born silent film actress, famously known as "America's sweetheart," co-founder of American Artists film studio, and one of the original founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Photograph caption dated June 16, 1961, reads "Luncheon serenade is being planned by (from left) Mrs. Monte Blue, program chairman, Mary Pickford and singer Elayne Blythe, for Sunday's gathering of the American Institute of Fine Arts at the Ambassador Hotel. Joining Miss Blythe for a song will be Jack Bailey and Buddy Rogers, husband of Miss Pickford, honorary president."
