Description
Photograph caption dated March 3, 1956 reads, "Valley Junior College's Rudy Jackson breezes home for the blue ribbon in the 880 yesterday in the good time of 2:02.2. Jackson led the field from flag fall to finish and his first place helped the Monarchs defeat Pierce and Glendale Junior College in a two-way dual meet on the Valley campus." The meet was held at Los Angeles Valley College in Van Nuys.
