Description
"The American River's Sailor Bar, just off Hazel Avenue, is a park with a lot of history. Sailor Bar, settled by gold-seeking sailors during the gold rush, accommodated dredgers up through World War II. In 1969, swimmers enjoy the cool pleasure of the river. Today visitor activities such as swimming, rafting, fishing, horseback riding, and nature gazing, are enjoyed by many."
