Description
Divided back. Made in Germany. Postmarked San Jose, January 29, 1909, to Mrs. Alex MacKellar, 2085 Golden Gate Ave., San Francisco. Message: Jan 29, '09. Dear Anna, Your letter rec'd this morning & we were glad to hear from you. Too bad May hasn't been well - hope she gets something to improve her health. You have a chance to get it back on, Alex now about the letter. Nita isn't back yet and no word from her. I have been expecting a few lines from her in explanation but nothing doing. I have another girl now. She came last night but I don't think she will be near as good as Nita. I pay her $15. Baby is still improving. I have to watch every move she makes - she got into the pantry this morning and when I got there she was trying to gobble down all the toast she could before I came. Last night she was restless the first of the night & slept pretty good the last part of the night. The children get promoted tomorrow but will have no vacation - go right back to school Monday. How about that swell boarding house at visitation? We didn't hear any more about the cook. Hope this finds all well. Birdie LeR. will be so pleased about his ties. He is at school now.
