Throughout his career, York won 3,082 races. Photograph article date stamped August 20, 1964 partially reads, "Del Mar's winningest jockey, Ray York, of Woodland Hills, did it again - bringing in high-weighted Jalousie II for a three-length win in the $27,850 Ramona Handicap... In addition to riding the handicap winner, York had three other wins Wednesday: Pappa Justice for $4.40 in the sixth, Above Suspicion $5 in the seventh, and Danny Goodman $9.60 in the ninth. The feature was the eighth race. He has won 28 at Del Mar this season."
