The paved street runs from the foreground at left to the background at center and is divided by two sets of streetcar tracks. Early model automobiles can be seen parked along the sides of the street. Three large Victorian houses can be seen at left, while commercial buildings line the road at right. The tall Hotel Commodore is visible in the background at center. Legible signs include, from left: "Vai Bros. Brandy California's Finest", "Sigma Gasoline Farther", "Hotel Commodore", "and "Hotel".
