Photograph caption dated December 9, 1959 reads "Van Nuys Social Security office employes (sic) from left, Mrs. William Ford, district manager Clair Flaten and Mrs. Arthur Bernard, turn over to Marine recruiting Sgt. James Merrill toys to help in Marine Corps' annual 'Toys for Tots' Christmas campaign. Employes (sic) decided to use money that annually goes to Christmas office party for toy purchases."
