Photograph of a street in Old Chinatown, ca.1898. Only the right side of the unpaved street is visible, and it is bordered by a row of buildings. The closest building is two story and made of brick the sidewalk in front of the lower floor is covered by an overhand, and there are three balconies on the top floor, each covered by its own awning. There is a group of pedestrians in front of this building, and across the street from them is a single horse and carriage. There is a flag on a pole on top of one of the buildings lining the street, and on a hill in the background, there is a large building with a tall brick tower.
