Description
Albert Herter, an artist of international reputation, painted the canvases depicting epic events in the history of California. His paintings gave life and color to the walls of the History Room, in Central Library. Photo shows Herter's mural, "Bautiste de Auza," who sits astride his horse with one of his soldiers standing next to him. Photo dated: June 4, 1930.
