Approximately 150 employees at Mepec Central Labs, located at 4520 Electronics Place near Griffith Park, were evacuated today when they smelled a "strange odor" in their building. Most of the evacuees were back to work within a few hours, but 18 people were taken to the hospital for treatment of persistent medical complaints. Photograph dated September 28, 1988.
