Some materials may be subjected to copyright restrictions and be protected by the U.S. Copyright Law (Title 17, U. S. C.) Postcards were donated to the library and are meant for non-commercial use only. Redistribution, reproduction, publication, transmission of materials other than fair use, in whole or any part, requires written permission from Whittier Public Library. The library reserves the right to grant or withhold the permission and this is determined on a case by case basis. Additional permissions may be required. Users are solely responsible for determining and acquiring the required additional permissions, and paying any additional fees. Also included are images and documents of two missions of Whittier's First Friends Church: the Kotzebue Friends Church, in Kotzebue, Alaska; and the Friends Japanese Church in Norwalk, formerly located near the intersection of Orange Street and Rosecrans Avenue.
