Description
The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on August 7, 1967 states: "Completed - Mass was offered for the first time yesterday in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ione, Amador County. The $60,000 building seats 225 persons and is next to the old church, built 93 years ago. Dedication and blessing of the new church is scheduled for next fall."
