Description
"The first patients were admitted last month as this 132 bed facility, the Park Sutter Convalescent Hospital, opened its doors. It is at 2600 L Street, opposite Sutter's Fort. Originally planned as a Pacific Convalescent Hospital, the $1.4 million building was completed under new ownership. Ralph M. Bell, MD, executive director of Park Sutter, is its principal stockholder. Others on its board are John O. Bronson as president; Edmond V. Minasian, MD, vice president; Robert Kellogg, treasurer, and E. T. Rulison, Jr., MD, director. Mrs. Viola Rogers, its superintendent, reports that when fully staffed the hospital will employ close to 70 persons on an around the clock basis"
