Description
A group of women and an emcee on the stage of the Redwood Bowl at the Marin Town & Country Club. Owned by San Francisco businessman Max Friedman, the Marin Town & Country Club opened on April 23, 1944. The Redwood Bowl, opened in 1946, featured an outdoor dance floor and nationally known big bands for the Saturday night dances. The club maintained a reputation as a well-run, disciplined operation until its closure in 1972.
