Description
Front side is an illustrated, color map of California with insets of San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Monterey, and "Mother Lode" sites. A key marks historical sites from the Spanish-Mexican period, the Gold Rush, the Agricultural Era, and Commercial and Industrial Expansion periods. Figures from each of the time periods are placed throughout. The reverse side includes the title page (when map is folded), as well as textual descriptions for each of the marked sites.
