Description
Copy of a clipping about the Kroll House, historically known as the Witter House, on 238 West Seventh Street. The house is a transitional type with many Victorian details. The interior possesses many Craftsmen style features and was built in 1906 by Joseph Witter, a picking foreman in the citrus groves. The house was originally a one story Victorian cottage, however a second story with a central dormer and hipped roof was added later . The house was owned for twenty years by Joseph Griffith, the town street sweeper. Other owners were the Howland Family and Elmer Williams, an agent for the Santa Fe Railroad.
