Description
Scope/Content: My name is Anonymous, and I work for an after school program called Engage 360 at an elementary school in the Santa Ana Unified School District. Since late March of 2020, our after school program has been running completely online. One component of our program is providing enrichment opportunities for our students, and we have seven different community provider programs from outside the school district that come and work with our students. The seven community providers are: Toyama Karate-Do Academy, Dreams for Schools, Active Learning, Jose Hernandez Mariachi Academy, Discovery Science, Orange County Children's Therapeutic Arts Center, and Brain Builders. These seven community providers provide enrichment classes to our students in the after school program. This school year, these classes are being held by Engage 360 instructors “hosting” the online classes for the community providers. First, the Engage 360 instructor creates a Zoom link, using their SAUSD Zoom account. Then, when it’s time for the class to start, the Engage 360 instructor starts the Zoom meeting. Next, the community provider instructor and the students join the meeting, and class is held! From January through March of this year, I hosted the Zoom enrichment classes for Dreams for Schools.
