Aerial photograph of crash site. "11 P.S. B-3040 (7-15-27)(20-900)." Caption reads - "Ernie Smith (Pilot) and Emory Bronte (Navigator) 1st civilian team to fly US to Hawaii - crashed on Molokai, both survived. Plane was destroyed so Smith and Bronte were unable to return to Oakland for the Dole Race."
