The envelope for a letter written by Kumekichi Ishibashi to his son and daughter-in-law Masaichi and Miye Ishibashi. He writes from Bismark, North Dakota, where he was being held at a high security incarceration camp. Eventually he was reunited with this family in Poston, Arizona. The collection documents the personal life and business records of the Ishibashi family; one of the pioneer Japanese American farming families on the Rancho Palos Verdes Peninsula in Los Angeles, California from about 1910 until 2012.
