Three-quarters length portrait.
Yutaka Abe was born in 1895, in Japan. Came to the United States in 1912 to visit uncle in Los Angeles. Enrolled in acting school, joined the company of Thomas Harper Ince in 1914; starred in The Wrath of the Gods with Sessue Hayakawa. Returned to Japan in 1925 where worked as actor and director. Died in 1977. Went by various names: Jack Abbe, Jack Takuta Abbe, Jack Yutaka Abbe, Utaka Abbe, Utake Abbe, Jack Abe.
