Photograph caption dated October 18, 1956 reads, "These 11 starting players represent the front-line contingent which will be cavorting for the Birmingham High School Braves tomorrow afternoon in Milk Bowl classic against Marshall High School at Birmingham. Looking forward to the best year yet in the school's short athletic history, the Braves will be seeking their third straight win in as many starts. Game tomorrow will be played, along with nearly a score of other tilts, for the benefit of the PTA milk fund, used throughout Los Angeles City Schools to provide milk for needy children. Braves hold win over Roosevelt and Verdugo Hills." Pictured is Gary Johnson - Left End.
