Photograph caption dated July 21, 1960 partially reads, "U. S. Forest Service helicopter rescue crew picks up Phil Denning, 18, fire fighter injured when he fell from cliff while fighting 350-acre blaze on Highway 99 near Frenchman's Flat, 20 miles north of Castaic.
