Description
A woman in walking dress for 1825. She wears a wide brimmed, straw hat with a band of navy blue ribbon. A sheet, white veil cascades over the left side of the brim and a small bit down the back of her shoulder. The collar of her dress is folded over revealing the edge of a pink collar and the top of a white ruffled collar. Her dress buttons up the back of her bodice from the waist to the collar. Her sleeves are leg-of-mutton style with buttoned cuffs finished with a ruffle. A matching navy blue belt buttons in the back. The dress is floor length and has two bands of the same fabric at the hem. She wears cream colored gloves and a pair of brown shoes. In her hand is a parasol with a green top, pink lining and yellow trim. The handle is wooden with carved white detailing.
