Description
A 40 ton sculptured cement statue of Claude Chana, discoverer of gold in Aubrun, will be one of the focal points of Gold Discovery Days. Participants in the cvelebration, from left include Ray Dorer, state gold panning champion: C. J. Wuesthoff, treasurer of the Auburn 49er Association which is sponsoring the event, and Willam C. Dorer, president of the association.
