Having taken a back seat in past
athletic laurels, the rifle team of
1950 advanced toward higher
recognition by taking third place
honors. Coach Alvin Ousey's riflemen, John Lundin, Paul Kera-
mer, and the other eight members, topped teams from Stanford, Cal Aggies, and Santa Clara.

Mumby's proteges nearly doubled the points scored by their
nearest rival in the CCAA finals.
