Photograph caption dated November 12, 1959 reads, "USC All-American Baseball Player John Werhas is shown being presented with the annual Coca-Cola Company awarded emblem ring, which goes to athletes selected as All-American by the NCAA Coaches. Making the presentation is North Hollywoodian, Mr. Guy Wrinkle, Supervisor of Athletes for the Los Angeles City Schools. Werhas plans to play Professional Baseball."
