Description
In 1947, one penny sent this enhanced image of William Land Park’s Rose Garden from Sacramento to Chicago with this message on the back: “beautiful here. We do not miss Brookfield one bit. Every day is like Sunday.” The printed description on the back of the card reads as follows: “Flower lovers from al Northern California visit frequently the beautiful rose garden in William Land Park. Here are to be found roses of every variety in a garden setting whose beauty is unsurpassed.”
