Tree cutting axe developed in San Diego County by Farm Advisor F. H. Dorman. The basic tool is a single bitted axe with the cutting face cut down to a narrow point. Welded to the top of the head is a hardened, tapered steel tube for punching holes. Different view of #8440. June 1950. Dorman
