Description
Daytime view of a calm Havana street with townspeople walking around, centered on a diagonal view of the Hotel Inglaterra, which has an American flag on its roof. Some people in the crowd at left rear appear to carry rifles. This image shows a city view of Havana after the Spanish-American War (Apr. 1898-Aug. 1898) ended. The war ended with a U.S. victory, Cuba's independence, and the signing of the Treaty of Paris 1898.
