Photograph caption dated October 1, 1955 reads, "Paul Kulka, left, of Burbank, and Serge Gardiner, Los Angeles, work on models of two Lockheed airplanes in Burbank aircraft company's model shop. Lockheed uses models of aircraft or parts of aircraft for engineering tests or to help establish color, shape or other aspects of design. Partial models have run as large as one-fourth actual size."
