Ambulances, rescue workers and the injured crowd the Santa Ana Freeway shoulder after a crash involving a tractor-trailer rig and a school bus, touching off a chain-reaction that included another school bus and two passenger vehicles. A total of 20 passengers were taken to area hospitals, but there were no serious injuries. Photograph dated October 9, 1989.
