Chemical Engine No. 2 was stationed at 22nd St. at S and T Streets. Driven by Patrick Hayes (August Steen was pipeman), overturned on Feb. 16, 1914 at the corner of 10th and S Streets trying to avoid hitting a butcher wagon driven by Clarence Cuddy. Engine was on way to fire at 11th & X Streets -- Sacramento Bee, Feb. 16, 1914, p. 1, c. 5.
