Shown are the Anheuser-Busch Clydesdale draft horses, currently on exhibition for the general public. Special stalls and watering facilities have been built for these pampered 2000 pound trophy-winners, the world's biggest draft horses, into the showrooms of Bob Yeakel's Wilshire Oldsmobile. Scotch by ancestry, the Clydesdales were purchased in Scotland, Canada, Illinois and Iowa. The horses respond to commands, answer to their names and negotiate heavy Los Angeles traffic without nervousness or fright. Daily exhibitions of their performance in a six-horse hitch, pulling a 6,000 pound brass-trimmed beer wagon are held at Yeakel's spacious lot. Photo dated: December 29, 1955.
