Photograph caption dated January 3, 1961 reads, "Bulldozer clears path for destruction of the castle Willy and Elizabeth Fagerstam built in the 6600 block of Lemp Street, North Hollywood, making way for a new apartment house. Neighbors recalled the couple that came to the Valley 40 years ago, Willy from Denmark, his bride from Sweden. They also recalled that Mrs. Fagerstam walked from New York to California by herself, to meet her future husband. The couple now live in Yucaipa, Calif."
